Backend Engineer / Technical Lead
Core department: Engineering
Career level: To be confirmed
Role purpose
Provide strong backend engineering and technical leadership so Blinto delivers secure, maintainable, scalable solutions and the engineering team makes sound technical decisions.
Core success outcomes
- Technical quality — backend solutions are reliable, maintainable, secure, appropriately tested, and fit the real problem.
- Technical ownership — complex technical work is driven from diagnosis and design through implementation, release, and follow-up.
- Architecture judgment — technical choices balance simplicity, scalability, maintainability, delivery speed, and business needs.
- Engineering leadership — developers receive useful technical direction, review, mentoring, and help resolving difficult blockers.
- Delivery reliability — technical risks and dependencies are identified early and communicated clearly to delivery stakeholders.
- Engineering improvement — recurring technical issues lead to better standards, documentation, reusable components, automation, or development practices.
Observable evidence
Evidence may include code and architecture quality, successful releases, incident prevention or resolution, review quality, reduced technical rework, documentation, mentoring, technical decisions, reusable systems, and improved engineering practices.
Role Excellence standard
Exceptional performance means Sayem consistently resolves high-complexity problems, raises engineering quality beyond his own tasks, improves technical systems, and makes the broader team more capable and reliable.
Effective performance means backend work is delivered to the expected technical standard, risks are handled responsibly, technical decisions are sound, and teammates receive dependable technical support.
Needs Improvement applies when preventable technical defects recur, solutions create avoidable maintenance burden, risks are surfaced late, documentation or review is weak, or technical leadership does not provide sufficient clarity to the team.
Monthly Role Excellence review
Role Excellence should be scored from documented monthly evidence against the outcomes above, not from general impressions. The universal five-level rating scale in the KPI framework applies.
