Role
Senior Frontend Developer
Core department: Engineering
Career level: To be confirmed
Role purpose
Deliver high-quality frontend experiences while providing strong ownership, technical judgment, and support that raises the reliability and capability of the frontend team.
Core success outcomes
- Frontend quality — interfaces are accurate, responsive, accessible, performant, and consistent with approved designs.
- Independent ownership — complex frontend work is understood, planned, implemented, tested, and closed with minimal unnecessary supervision.
- Engineering judgment — solutions are maintainable, reusable where appropriate, and avoid unnecessary complexity or technical debt.
- Quality assurance — browser, device, responsive, interaction, and regression issues are identified before handoff.
- Team contribution — other frontend developers receive useful support, review, knowledge sharing, and practical technical guidance.
- Delivery awareness — estimates, blockers, dependencies, and risks are communicated early enough for the team to act.
Observable evidence
Evidence may include implementation accuracy, low preventable rework, successful launches, performance improvements, reusable components, technical review, mentoring, issue prevention, documentation, and dependable delivery.
Role Excellence standard
Exceptional performance means Siam consistently delivers complex frontend work at a high standard, anticipates quality and technical risks, improves reusable engineering practices, and makes other developers more effective.
Effective performance means assigned work is delivered reliably to the expected frontend standard, risks are communicated, quality checks are performed, and collaboration with design and engineering is dependable.
Needs Improvement applies when preventable UI defects, responsive issues, avoidable rework, weak testing, late escalation, or poor implementation discipline repeatedly affect delivery.
Monthly Role Excellence review
Role Excellence should be scored from documented monthly evidence against the outcomes above, not from general impressions. The universal five-level rating scale in the KPI framework applies.
